The term ‘sustainable timber’ means that the tree harvested to make your beautiful, handcrafted Mahogany door will be replaced with another tree. Where one is taken away, another is planted. This way, the forest maintains its ecological function so it may continue to promote future seed growth, biodiversity, climate and water cycles.  We require suppliers to provide documentation showing compliance with both the international and Honduran environmental management standards.
